This website is a deliberate exercise in restraint, built with respect for the people who visit it.

Built with open-source software

The site is generated with Hugo, a fast open-source static-site generator, and served from a self-hosted FreeBSD server. No proprietary platform, no third-party page builder, no managed cloud between you and the content.

Lightweight by design

Every page is plain HTML and CSS. There is no JavaScript, no client-side rendering, and no front-end framework. Pages are pre-built and delivered as static files, so they load almost instantly and work the same on any device, browser, or connection.

It respects your privacy

There are no cookies, no analytics, no trackers, and no third-party scripts of any kind. Visiting this site sets nothing on your device and reports nothing about you to anyone. There is no data to collect, because none is collected.

No bloat

Fonts are self-hosted and minimal. Images are optimised. There are no ad networks, no consent banners, and no surveillance infrastructure to slow things down or get in your way. The result is a site that is fast, quiet, and durable.
